Love coffee too. -You share that on your little bio of your profile >in case that’s forgotten| Sipping coffee and having a good conversation of meaning is something I miss very very much.
Good post, thanks! I think my worst interview (of thousands) was about an oil spill with Robert Kennedy JR a few years ago. God knows how many times I said, "Sorry, sir, can you please repeat that?". At the close, he invited me to a townhall next night. I told him I was in Canada. He said, "OK come to my town hall next week". Argh.
Oh man. Perhaps back when he seemed to be for clean air, water, and against polluters, which now I wonder if he really cared about any of that or just needed a job somewhere. It'd be interesting to read what makes someone a difficult guest!
I'd much rather interview someone than be interviewed. I've been interviewed before, and then wished i could change my answers for weeks afterward. As far as bad matchups, i saw Grace Paley and Anne Lamott together in Seattle one evening. They were "in conversation," and Lamott just completely blew the whole evening. It was sort of shocking. I remember she sort of apologized for it later. It ruined her for me, to be honest.
Wow! I’m curious about that now, I wonder what was going on? Mary, you’re a generous person, you think about other people’s feelings. I think you’d be a natural interviewer! I also had that feeling of wanting to go back and revise what I’d said.
i tried to find something about it online, but i couldn't find much. It was crazy. At the Fifth Avenue seattle arts and lectures. She hardly let Grace Paley speak. She went on and on about herself. The whole room collapsed into negativity. You could feel everyone turning against her. It was nuts

I'm drinking it right now! I can't forget coffee, it's keeping me powered...
I know another Sea Shepherd, Paul Watson is a Canadian Activist, was a Greenpeace founder.

Like the moron in charge, it's all about self-interest.
Yeah. I think if a grifter really wanted to make some coin, he would go after the supporters of these people because they seem to believe anything.
I learnt a lot from this post! Never been interviewed! :-P
Yay! Thank you. Maybe you will be interviewed.
Thank you. That's very kind of you. XO

Oh no. I hate that! I would’ve been in hell… I get so tense when people dominate what is supposed to be “conversation.”
A real lesson in what not to do. In any situation.
